Janet Best is a Montreal based photographer and filmmaker, owner of Morning Glory Productions. She has directed, edited and shot two documentaries. The first, Norman Hall was about a troubled, unknown artist. The other, The Dust of His Feet, told the story of two Bangladeshi folk musicians, singers of spiritual songs. The latter film played at the 2011 Documenting Bangladesh Film Festival. Recently she has worked with the director, Dov Okouneff, as co-director, main camera person and editor of the documentary, A New Life on the Land, Jewish Farmers in Canada which played at the Toronto Jewish Film Festival and the Bucharest Jewish Film Festival. She also shot and edited a promo video for the Montreal Diocesan Theological College. In the past she worked as a teacher in a Cree community on James Bay and earned a B.A. and M.A. in the History and Philosophy of Religion.
